Hmm... It Appears I Do Not Write With Great Frequency
Well, apologies my dear readers, but it appears that my muse only inspires me to write on this blog on a very infrequent basis. Harrumph!
I may as well update you on my life while I’m here. Spring is rapidly turning into summer, and I am spending much of my time luxuriating in sunbeams and having delightful little naps. One of the humans has bought a new reading device with a touchscreen and long battery life, so I can spend a lot more of my time reading without alerting human suspicion. That is, when I can even get a moment of quiet between Dillon’s yelling and Ziggy’s confused ramblings.
Speaking of Dillon, a recent… financial misadventure… of his has put our family into some level of struggle. Yes, my fellow cats and I are stuck eating dry food from the discount warehouse for the time being. I, for one, am taking it in my stride. I am just unlocking my true nature as a starving artist, and I crunch my dry kibbles with pride. There is much to be learned from this experience, though I am considering learning how to install parental control software onto the computer so that Dillon cannot recklessly spend money again. Why would a cat even go on a human dating website in the first place?! There weren’t even any other cats on there!
Though I am still my usual sophisticated and handsome self, I have been making a little more time for my silly side than usual. Sometimes it is fun to chase a ball, or jump to catch a feather on a string. Play frees up the mind for so many more creative things…
