The Teabox Bestiary
The bestiary was one of my favourite features of the old site; a place with art and descriptions of all the weird and wonderful creatures from my stories. It is reproduced here, though considerably less impressively, for your viewing pleasure.
Name: The Eel Maiden

Living in the cold depths of the North Sea, Eel Maidens are powerful and adept hunters. Their diet consists primarily of fish, though they have been known to hunt seals. They are loyal and good-hearted, and often save people from drowning.
Name: Platypus astranguloi
Creature Type: Monotreme
Appears In: On The Subject Of Furbies
A species of predatory monotreme hailing from New Caledonia, evolved by extreme evolutionary pressure to have a long body akin to a snake.
The habitat destruction caused by nickel mining triggered them to develop abnormalities, namely a dramatically shortened body. This new variant was domesticated, and is now commonly kept as a pet.

This friendly and sentimental alien race were once prolific collectors of human artwork and artefacts. After the fall of mankind, it is up to them to reconstruct the life forms of the dead planet earth. However, with only their collected artworks to go off of, they are known to take artistic license with their reconstructions.

This strange creature is the offspring of a vampire and a werewolf, though they pass quite well as slightly disheveled looking humans. They are known for their melodramatic temperaments, as well as their frustrating inability to ever take a joke.
Name: Master Stripes
Creature Type: Feline
Appears In: The Rat About Town and His Pact with Master Stripes
Master Stripes is the legendary king of all cats. Though he spent many years imprisoned in a zoo, he has now been freed. He spends his days defending the meek and terrorising the powerful.
