Just as Doodle is an accessory extradimensional plane attached to the “real” universe, Metadoodle is an accessory extradimensional plane attached to Doodle. Just as the “real” universe is infinitely more complex and detailed than Doodle, Doodle is significantly more complex and detailed than Metadoodle. It may not even be a physical place in the conventional sense, as when it is entered by doodle beings their physical bodies remain behind on their native plane.
Metadoodle is a vast inky void filled with roiling plumes of mist, and points of light that resemble stars. Though it lacks Doodle’s impenetrable “floor,” it also lacks gravity, so the things within it float in place instead of falling.
Being the lone inhabitant of Metadoodle can be an infuriating experience.
Only one being at a time can exist fully within Metadoodle in both mind and body, appearing as a glowing angelic presence. This entity is given an almost deific significance by the doodle beings who visit the plane, and they may find themselves being hounded for answers to all manner of questions. Though being the sole permanent inhabitant of Metadoodle brings with it a certain pandimensional clarity of thought and vision, they are not omnipotent, and being incessantly pestered with difficult questions by lesser intellects can become incredibly grating. Luckily, the entity possesses the ability to boot other minds out of Metadoodle if they get too annoying.
Doodle beings can mentally enter Metadoodle through a process of concentration. There is a certain knack to this, and some doodle beings are better at it than others. Finding it easy to slip into Metadoodle is associated with a neurotic disposition, while finding it difficult is associated with being more happy-go-lucky. Doodle beings usually slip into Metadoodle for the first time by accident, and are especially prone to this during the confusing period after they first pop into existence.
